Bushmills' village has a unique North Antrim quality. Bushmills have been designated a conservation area and has over 90 listed buildings. The village is best known as the location of the Old Bushmills Distillery founded in 1608, which is the oldest licensed distillery in the world. Bushmills is approximately 2 miles from the famous Giant’s Causeway which wasdeclared a World Heritage sight in 1986 and a National Nature reserve in 1987. The Giant’s Causeway today is owned and managed by the National Trust and it is the most popular tourist attraction in Northern Ireland
